Oh what a shame. They're a ****** nuisance! This will be going on for months now :( Should be a law against it.....
headphones and enjoy the aromatic flavours. Leaf fire outside and now a Cuban one inside to the dulcet tones of Antiques Roadshow.
Evening gness,

....the contentment of eating well, and feeling satisfied (Chinese Meal, which was delicious) .....relaxing, feet up, glass of J2O .....watching Dragon's Den with my 'significant other', after a busy and hectic weekend.......no noise, apart from the sea outside......sheer bliss, sweetheart x
Bliss for me would be to have an open fire like you Gness. I find them very relaxing, calming, soothing. (same words LOL)

They are, Patsy.......I wonder what would happen to me if I surreptitiously poured water from a bottle into all the fireworks on display in local shops....hmmmm..... :-)

Bet your leaf fire doesn't smell as good, DT.....

Now that is bliss, Yogi....the sound of the sea.......I do miss that....x

Not an open fire, Conne....my friends, for my 65th, bought me a fire pit and a huge supply of turf......I light it on my patio....x
No Pete to stoke the fire with here, Gness... know what you mean when I have burned some, either nicked from the bogs of Ireland or the western shores of Alba-land.....
3 reception rooms all with open fires - when we entertain we light them all and its bliss, when on our own we just light the one for the room we are in.
In fact there has only been about a dozen days this year where we have not lit the fire.
Fireworks are terrible for the dogs. Every year Harvey shook like a jelly baby, was really bad - my heart went to him.

Thank God - Maxie doesn't hear them. That's brilliant for me.
The incredibly loud fireworks started.....forgot we are nearing the night to let them off.... :-)

Didn't know you were a lover of cats which unfortunately I am not.

However neighbours next door have a small cat and I do admit for the very first time re a cat - it is a very funny cat. It's got a real personality. Tortures my Maxie LOL
A chiminea SP - I would hazard a guess.
We keep the 2 that are not used often laid up and ready and just clean them up as soon as its cool, the one we use all the time is cleaned every couple of days.
But you are right the dust gets everywhere and can be a devil to clean up
