Most people do respond to answers given, except some people in Crosswords who are dead ignorant!

Yes. There are posters who (rudely) don't even bother to come back with an answer when asked to expand on their problem. These people get blacklisted by me and I ignore all further psts from them.

I agree with bhg481.......bi00dy rude and i tell them so.
Some are persistent in their negativity and to those I just refuse to enter into communication (Blacklist them)

Oh! and then you get the sm@rt@ses who when you complain, come back with:

"Do you want a round of applause" or " Who do you think you are" OR your answer is just as good as anybody else........they know who there are.

As I've written before, I find that if I post an answer that took me a few seconds to find out (by simply entering a few key words from the question into Google) I generally get loads of thanks.

However if I spend hours researching a detailed answer to a question (or even, as I have done, drive many miles to find something out) I can almost guarantee that I'll get no response at all!

It never really bothers me that much, although I have to admit that I was a bit miffed when an American ABer, whom I'd given a guided tour of Paris to, didn't respond to the Christmas card I sent him later that year!
