apparently a british soldier in uniform has been refused to be served in case he offended any Muslim costumers, this is awful, why are we not proud of our soldier lads and the job they do to keep us all safe.

"apparently" ..according to whom? Sounds like trouble-making to me.
I would doubt that very much!
That is really bad, he should have been served. If it offended any Muslims, tough.
Sounds like one of those facebook tales
Is there a link ?

I don't really know why some need to be showing that they are in the forces by wearing the uniform off duty anyway. Many will think it is boasting that they are better than the rest of you. Why not wear civvies and avoid the controversy ?
Any link? I would have thought that by now word would have got out that a British soldier is welcome wherever he goes in Britain, and that the plainly half witted employee at Tesco should be sacked.
Which source is that report from - can't locate it.
I agree with AP. We need a link. If true, then those who disapprove should simply boycott Tesco, who are not exactly known for their wide range of halal goods, but I take this with a pinch of salt pending further confirmation.
Perhaps he was after a bacon sarnie.
I do hope this is not true, but I wouldn't be surprised at some of the *** we've got knocking about.Sadly it's a thing that's happened before

My nearest Tesco is situated near to Redford Barracks, and every time I am in the supermarket there are soldiers in there.

Another urban myth methinks.
Don't be silly, OG. when i was in the RAF we often used to nip down to the village in lunch hour. No need to get changed.
Shoota - that was Co-op not Tesco and no mention of Muslims.
Obviously not in your opinion.
Have you added your own slant to the Soldier/Cigarettes incident in St Helens?
OG if his uniforms good enough to die in it's good enough to wear any time.
Ok you go out and convince all those who disagree out there.
I think there is a certain amount of ignoring the issue going on.
***-poor argument OG. How do you know the Serviceman was off duty anyway?
