£16000 for 52 weeks means average weekly pay is £16000 ÷ 52 = £307.69 pw.
(You could argue there is a fraction more than 52 weeks in a year but it makes little difference) For a 45 hour week this works out as £307.69 ÷ 45 = £6.84 per hour. This rate applies even when you are on holiday |
