Train to Game

Has anyone had any dealings with the above home study course in training as a Games Tester? A representative came to our house to interview my son who saw an advert for it and thus applied. He has another interview at home tomorrow and I'm guessing that they may try the 'hard sell' tactic in getting him to sign up for this course which could take up to 3 years to gain the qualification. It all sounds legitimate, however, I'm just a bit concerned that it will cost £3,500 to complete.

I would appreciate a response from anyone who has had dealings with them but I would appreciate it if someone could provide me with questions to ask the rep so that we don't get into something that may not be appropriate.

Many thanks

If you mean Train2Game, a quick google finds an enormous number of negative comments. Particularly important would seem to be the fact that their diplomas don't have any form of official or industry recognition.
scam!
They can find kids who will happily try out games
It sounds like a racket to me - why pay £3500 for a certificate which doesn't have City and Guilds or some other industry recognition. What's the Qualification - what good would it be for his career?

Thank you very much for your responses which I've taken on board. After doing a lot of a research my son has cancelled the interview and said he is now not interested. Very much to the absolute horror / annoyance of the interviewer as he tried every 'trick in the book' to change my sons mind!!

We will sleep well tonight.............x
