TV Appeals

I commented a few weeks ago about charities & letters through the post, have you noticed the same is happening with the ads on TV?

i think it depnds what channel you watch
i am at home during the day at the moment and mainly watch e4. Every ad break has an ad for water aid, save the children, rspca or something along those lines (mind you every ad break advertises clearblue pregnancy tests too)
i don't watch ITV so don't know about that, but the BBC only seems to have the DEC ones, and then only in response to a big disaster

Hi Bednobs, I'm not a TV addict but when I watch in the evening its the Tiger appeal, The tree appeal, I think its about time they started thinking about how the elderly feel when they see these ads & know a lot of the elderly are very passionate about appeal so they will sent the money, my Mother is one of them, she is fortunate to have a couple of bob many elderly don't have the money to spare.

i think they HAVE thought about how it's going to make people feel - that's how they get their money

I don't see many on the channels we watch - but the NSPCC one always tugs at my conscience.

The cancer research ones actually upset me.

Yes Boxy, the one with that little black lad sitting on the step gets me, they way he looks, I often wonder what he is thinking about.

Does anyone know how much these ads cost? They can't be cheap can they, so how much of your donation is spent on advertising?

what is up with you TWR? You see slights where there are none. People know that fingers slip, or sometimes people have typos. You seem to see a vendetta against you, on a perfectly sensible question with perfectly sensible answers.
