In the first instance I'd try sprinkling bicarb on to the wet patch to draw out the moisture and eliminate any smells.
Question Author
bicarbonate of soda powder?
Yep. Sprinkle it on leave it to draw out the moisture and then Hoover off.

ok, i don't have tht - is baking powder similar?
Nooooo - there's an element in baking powder which makes cakes rise.....
if it had just happened i would put bicarb on it or baby talc and leave it over night. then in morning i would hoover up and repeat process until i cannot smell it anymore.

ok, so no luck on that. Would a valet/steam clean help do you think?
Steam clean should eliminate all odours. Might then use something like Febreze spray on it once dry.
I had a full valet of my car but even with that shampooing and deep clean of seats was £10 per seat extra. My car is a 7 seater so it would have been another £70 in addition to the £30 I paid. The standard valet just includes vacuuming the seats no actual cleaning.
