car insurace

hi i was waved out of a car parking bay by some guy , when coming out of my space i went over his paint which i could nt see and the paint went every were up my car and another ladys and he left me to pay his bill for the paint , the lady wants to claim off my insurace for the paint work which was not marked as we got all the paint off , all this happened on a private car park . were do i stand

Doesn't matter who waves you, it's your responsibility for making sure that you are clear to go.

Was he a workman? - I guess so - IMo you could sue for negligence in leaving his paint in a place where cars could drive over it.

Don't get into discussion or correspondence, just report it all to your insurance company, let them argue it out.
