That looks like a london number to me and i very much doubt u will get more than that out of it

0208 is the outer London code, BT website doesn't give a further breakdown than that, you could try ringing the operator and asking

We had this question a couple of days ago, and a full answer was given. (Of course I can't find that question!) As I remember, its a North East London exchange on NTL A bit of Googling on the code shows taht it covers places like Ilford

As it's not a BT exchange, it covers a wider area than you might expect. When the question was first asked, I spent far too much time looking at addresses which were thrown up by a Google search on the code.

I needed this sort of thing the other day and found an extremely useful site: http://www.ukphoneinfo.com/section/tci/old_std_list.shtml It has all the 0181/0171, but also includes the local bit (eg 924)
