Hi I am looking for a good digital camera about average price that is good at taking pictures indoors as it is for taking pictures for a letting site. Can anyone recommend one thanks.

I'm in the same situation actually, but after some research i'm going for the canon powershot A40. It eats batteries for breakfast apparently, but I couldn't find anything better for around �200. I'll tell you more if I actually get it soon.
I don't use it myself, but the Digital IXUS range seems to give very good low level results and excellent daylight results. Only 1600 x 1200, but that's good enough for a 10x6 print.
regarding battery life....buy a double set of recharables and you shouldn't have to worry too much ....and make sure the charger is 120/240v world wide capable so you can take it on holidays..
Try and pick up a second hand Canon G1 if you can, should get one for @�400 much better than any current new �400 camera. I have the G2 but thats out of the price range you specify but the G1 isnt far behind it on features or quality.
