Morning, emmie, I'm awake for a little while after just watching a bit of TV. No big plans for Wednesday really. I'm considering Lear-jetting to Switzerland and then maybe Grand Cayman to personally check my numerous off-shore accounts...But that all depends upon what time I get up in the morning.

morning Sanmac, been dreaming again have you...
Don't know what the doctor has prescribed you Mac, but will you share?

Hi Em
Question Author
morning 1ozzy
Question Author
how is your mum 1ozzy? and you of course..
Hello, 1ozzy. I have actually been to Grand Cayman. Unfortunately, the travel-agent forgot to mention the exchange rate because at the time we went the Caymanian dollar was worth more that the US dollar so you can imagine the rate we got for a mere Canadian dollar! Anyway, it was a great holiday. Just about every building in Georgetown, the capital, is a branch-bank of all major banks in the world. The island is known as the Caribbean Switzerland. The residents do not have to pay any income-tax!
I'm surviving nicely Em.

If mum was a beloved pet she would have been euthanised by now, and been happy for that to happen.

But, in a modern world everyone has to be kept alive and suffer until the very end.
It's a sad outcome for all.
Question Author
sounds like heaven Sanmac, no tax that would be great...
Question Author
surely you want her around as long as humanly possible 1ozzy... if she is suffering then she must have meds to help...
1ozzy, I fully agree with your post at 0511.
Em, she is past all that.
I may sound uncaring and selfish but if she passed away in her sleep tonight her pain and anguish would be over.
I abhor seeing her suffer.
Question Author
i am not sure i agree, my mum died suddenly after being admitted to a care home, she lasted four weeks to be precise, but i much rather she lived out here days at home.
Question Author
as anyone would 1ozzy, can they do nothing to stop her suffering, different meds perhaps.
Question Author
i don't believe in euthanasia, can't see it as a way out.
Thanks for the opportunity to chat.

Best wishes to all.
Question Author
take care both of you
// I don't believe in euthanasia, can't see it as a way out//

Maybe you haven't suffered enough yet?
Question Author
oh i am suffering now believe me, and have suffered before, so much so i ended up in mental health hospital.
Question Author
i am sorry that you feel the way you do, it's good to talk, even if it's only on line, much love to you and your mum,
Morning all. I totally agree with euthanasia. We had a cancer stricken friend crying out in agony to his wife begging her to overdose his morphine. So distressing for his wife, family, friends and more importantly himself. Emmie there is pain and pain.
