Any family or friends who could use them? Or how about your local village hall?
Ask the police. Some police forces have a more or less permanent knife amnesty.
My local police advised me to wrap them well in cardboard and throw in the dustbin

Wow
Wonder why charity shops won't take them ......
I think they can be classed as weapons, Viv....and charity shops can't accept weapons.......x
Oh I see, thanks gness.
On a light note: give them to a local farmer and he can "Beat them into ploughshares.":)
Of our three charity shops two have knitting needle on display and one a notice saying....We have knitting needles but can't display them for safety reasons.......please ask...

So if you look like a knitter you'll get them I suppose......I'm longing for the day a burly hoodie takes up knitting and asks to see the needles....☺
...take up knife-throwing with a willing friend.
^ Ha ha ....
And as for the knitting needles: "And form their spears into pruning hooks."
Don't be upsetting your friends now, Tamaris.....I nominate Ginge......☺
^^^in that case, forget the idea!!
Wuss!!!.....☺
Charities that cook and supply hot meals may be able to use them. I'm sure all our knives are donations.
Ps...but call and ask first.
Any Lunch Clubs in your area? I'm sure they would welcome them!
When I worked at Barnado's all donations were welcome but knives and such had to be sent to HQ to be verified etc... but were saleable Items.
