Hello everyone,

I have had to put up with an anti social family for the last 5 years. This family has caused us so much trouble and today I will hand in my 6 month diary along with photo evidence. The council have said they will go through the mediation process but the abuse we have had has come one way. I have lived on the same street for nearly 40 years. I have an appointment with our health visitor this week as I have a 6 month old baby and this has effected our family life and our health.

The question I have is if I decide to sell up will I need to tell the potential new buyer about my neighbours?

How hard is it to get a mortgage these days? what has changed?

Thanks

Why sell up to please this unruly tribe? Fight your ground, you say you have a 6 month Diary, let that be the decider of the course of action that the Council take, 40 Years! no scum would make me leave after that length of time. & yes, I'm sure you would have to disclose the problem.
Yes, as you have submitted a formal complaint to the council you have to declare the circumstances, and let's face it who would want to move into such a deplorable situation. Good luck with the council.
Do they own their own home, rent from a private landlord or from the council? If it's a private landlord, you could complain to him, too, and he might take steps to evict them.
I do sympathise. I had a similar problem, and know what a nightmare it is.

They on the property they are 2 houses joined into one so in total they are 11 people living in there and there are a total of 4 bedrooms. I used to play on this very street and now my children are not able to do this in summer. This is the reason I do not want them to be effected by this and my kids are 10 and 7.
Dare I ask this Question? what nationality are they?
Probably white British TWR.
You are required to tell potential buyers about serious problems you've had with neighbours.

This is a Pakistani family, 25-30 years ago the parents were like this now it is the turn of the kids. I too am a Pakistani Islam shows us how important it Is to treat your neighbours no matter who they are. If I could honestly show you people hat this family has done to our once peaceful area you would be shocked. I have even had a 6 year old child say to me I will put my di*do in your mouth.
dear dear
sorry to hear of your trouble Nisart
follow thro the complaint with the council

when you come to sell the house - you will get a really long form to fill out for the vendor and you will have to read it clearly to answer

if it says have you sued your nbeighbours ? the answer can be no
if it says are you in dispute with your neighbours you have to answer yes ...

if you watch Nasty Neighbours - quite a lot of people manage to sell in the middle of things AND warn the buyer ....

and good luck
Nationality doesn't come in to it and I don't know why it was raised.

See what happens with the council - hopefully things will improve. The best possible outcome is that they will sell up and move on. Fingers crossed!

Make no hasty decisions, give it another year before making your decision.
Nisari, can I suggest going to your local Mosaic and have a word with the powers within, I'm sure they will have the ability to sort this out, I would explain in detail especially what that child has said to you, no one has to put up with this & I mean no-one, I would not even think of moving, why should you? you are entitled to peace, I've had a problem years gone by that was sorted by myself, keep on to the powers within you local mosaic, good Luck but do not back down..
Hc, did you not see the program about the Romanians in B/Ham? they were like animals, would you put up with neighbours like that?
Do you mean Mosque, TWR?

If so, you are assuming that both families belong to the same one (or any). You wouldn't suggest a Roman Catholic family and a Church of England family ask a priest to sort it out.

This is firmly a matter for the local council and police if there is any element of criminal activity.
I wouldn't put up with bad neighbours of any nationality, TWR. Makes not a jot of difference the nationality.
Nisar

there is no rudeness implied - TWR is using "word-comlete" on his machine and so Mosque/mesjid is coming out as 'Mosaic'.

I am not sure why a christian is telling you to go to your local mosque .... [since we have no idea what goes on in there]

generally we feel depending on the wording that you should tell buyers about the problems but that is not an absolute bar to selling ....
Very strange that some Side Swipe trying to get the help of the powers within the MOSQUE, Is that correct.
Side swipe? Leave religion out of it, TWR. One family could be Sunni, the other Shia for all we know. One family may never attend the Mosque.

The children from this family have been kicked out of 2 mosques as they could behave and let other learn. Now they get taught at home I did talk to the imam and he told them to behave and then after he left we got verbal abuse.
You could try 'Social Services'. If the children are being exposed to such as you quote at 9:36 they must get involved. I have had similar problems in the past with a bad neighbour. I was fortunate to have 5 brothers and and dozens of adult nephews. All bullies are cowards, they moved.
You're doing the right thing by involving the council, Nisar. Let us know how you get on.
