Blocked holes in the toilet.
A friend is desperate, she has tried scrubbing, I suggested limescale remover but she had already tried that. Is the only answer a new loo?
Tony, I'm not using it, our loo is just over a year old. The one she has is c.27 years old, a taupe suite so I'm sure she couldn't replace it in the same colour
I know it's not your loo, Psybbo ( you said it was your freinds loo ). If she doesn't want to change the suite she will have to persevere with unclogging the inlet holes.
Probably is due to hard water though.
If these holes are blocked by limescale deposits (assuming a hard-water area), caustic soda (or washing soda) or anything else that is strongly alkaline will do NOTHING to remove them. You need a strong acid to dissolve such deposits...a good "limescale removing" toilet cleaner containing hydrochloric acid will do the trick.
