I once bought the daughter a wind up diver to play with in the bath.....in her thirties now and she still remembers her fear when it took off like a bat out of hell......and hasn't forgiven me..... :-(

The steps from my back door to the patio are high and deep.....it took me eighteen months to get over the fall on the ice so I designed a substantial thingy either side of the steps....wood and trellis....thought a safety rail would be ageing......x

Oh I don't know.

How about an unproductive day lying on a sun lounger, listening to lapping waves, drinking pina coladas, and reading a good paperback ? Preferably with a nice high calorie meal afterwards, and on to a bar for good booze & rock bands in the evening.

Pixie.....I asked Dave to let me know about a good wine offer.....not being able to get me by text or email he called the landline.....I was telling him about my handiwork but being a bit of a pedant he asked if it was at the right height to put my hand on and not fall down the steps again.....


So....stupidly....I stood at the door and demonstrated...to a guy on the phone.....where my hand rested on the wood.....on the newly painted wood.... :-(
