I would like every court in the country from magistrates up to publish online each day all the guilty verdicts including photos of the accused, the offence and the sentence.

The police should do the same with cautions.

Is there any reason this is not happening now and will it ever happen? It should not be difficult nor costly.

I accept there will be a minority of cases where such information will be restricted.

Court reporters already seem to find the interesting or juicy stories.
Where would all this info be published, on-line? Who would want to see it?

I envisage an official local community page where the local courts and police force could publish the information, updating daily.

I think a lot of people would want to know who in their area has been prosecuted and why.
These details are usually in our local rag. Nice easy way to fill up the pages.
Our local paper publishes details of all the local court cases every week. Nothing of much interest.........motoring offences, shop lifting, no TV licences (hundreds!!), d&d, etc.
Hc, you mentioned "including photos of the accused". I am one of those who are of the opinion that, no matter the crime, photos and details should not be made public if the person is merely accused.

I meant those found guilty, not accused.
The ECHR would soon be involved...never going to happen unfortunately
