If you've switched to broadband, it's possible AVG is still trying to use your dialup to update. Go through the options and there is a tab to change how the software is to update itself.
If this doesn't work, a reinstall probably would. Alternatively, you can download the files from http://tinyurl.com/8a6zq and tell AVG to update from those specifically rather than going to the internet. |

im on avg and also had this problem for a while.i advise letting it update as altho it will take time you need ur protection ! i never solved the problem it just seemed to cure itself so stick with it ! |
