No they dont. If you look at when they had 100 raffle winners they were all different numbers

i mean do they start with the same letter

Maybe encee, all ours start with J too, can't remember the second letter, and the syndicate has 24 all consecutive.

Looking at the results suggests that the numbers are used sequentially,
So the first number in a sequence is AAA000000, then AAA000001, etc After AAA999999, then next number is AAB000000, and so on After AAZ999999, the next number will be ABA000000. After AZZ999999, the next number will be BAA000000. So the first character changes after 26 x 26 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 tickets have been sold. i.e.every 676 million tickets. Eventually (after 676 million tickets beginning with Z have been sold) it goes back to A again. So the first character will gradually advance through the alphabet as the weeks go by, but there's not a new letter every week. (i.e. if the last ticket sold in one week is ABC123456, the first ticket sold the following week will be ABC123457). http://www.euro-millions.com/results.asp Chris |

Question Author
ok so my ticket i bought starting with G didn't stand as much of a chance as J this week? so not worth buying monthly???
|
|
Every ticket has exactly the same chance of winning as any other ticket in the same draw does. Obviously though, the number of tickets in some draws will be higher than in others (particularly when record prizes are on offer).

If you buy a ticket for a month you keep the same letters and numbers for ALL draws.
I believe the vast majority of tickets are bought on a draw-by-draw basis at the local shops so consequently the vast majority of the results will be from tickets issued in the weeks after you bought yours. Hence whenever you see this weeks results it is more likely to be a number from this weeks purchases If Camelot were to put your tickets for only one draw then if you have paid for multiple entries then that would be illegal. As an example here are the results for June 2012 On 5th June - began L 8th began M 12th back to L Tue 05 Jun 12 LRM555207 Fri 08 Jun 12 MSH095096 Tue 12 Jun 12 LRL643710 Fri 15 Jun 12 PSY036130 Tue 19 Jun 12 QTF162967 |
