Whose responsibility is the surface of a "carriage crossing"? Mine has been damaged by large vehicles turning and needs repair.

"A domestic vehicle crossing may only be used by a private light goods or similar vehicle. It may not be used by heavy goods vehicles or mechanical equipment. If a delivery, such as a skip, is made to the property and it damages the crossing, any repairs will be the occupiers' responsibility."

Chris
local authority, you are only responsible up to your boundary
Plate number of one of the large trucks turning (and time and date) should protect you from liability but it may be a looooooooooong time before you get joy from your local authority.
If this is the driveway across a footway into your property, then I think ( I am almost certain, because the house owner has to pay for the pavement to be lowered etc) that it is your responsibility, but you should check with the local council who will put you in touch with the highways man.
