Hi, just had the above fitted and generally it is excellent. Only problem is when I have a bath and want to reheat the water it starts to run cold. Is this normal.

Thx

The Hot Water isnt instantaneous there will be a small amount of cold before the hot water starts to come through. Can you reach a wash basin from the bath to let the cold water through first ?
Don't turn your hot tap on fully.

Emeritus has the right idea, Eeza......... draw the cold off in a basin first....... also ......... I agree with Bill over the disadvantages of combis, but ..... this can be offset by making sure the combi is big enough, or even a little bigger than the house requires.
Also ......... set the boiler Hot Water thermostat higher so that the water is hotter in the first place. This should present minimal flow problems with a large capacity combi.
As others have said, when using a combi boiler – if you want a really hot bath, allow the initial cold water to run through. With a little practice, you should be able to set the bath fill rate at the optimum – giving a very hot bath without the boiler cutting out due to the water getting too hot. Another tip you may find useful is to sit in the bath as it fills – you will find that you can stand a much higher initial water temperature this way and thereby avoid the need to top up with hot water.

If I allow the initial cold water to run through – and then have the hot tap fully open, the bath water will be too hot to allow you to step in (that is the advantage of a powerful combi).

But even I cannot have a long soak, and then top up the bath water without the initial cold water coming through.
