Computer Not Recognising password

I have logged onto my laptop with the same password for weeks. Tonight I came to log on and it won't recognise my password to allow me access to my homepage. I can access the guest page as it is not password protected. Any suggestions. Sure no one has changed it.

I presume you have checked that you do not have Caps Lock or Num Lock on.
Are you sure you didn't have caplocks on when you typed your password?

caps lock off - can't seem to see Nums lock button
Caps lock not in the usual setting?
They do say "great minds think alike". (Or is it "fools seldom differ"?

could have done, changed it about 2 months ago - how would you know if it has
- there are no new lights lit on the control and tried caps lock on and caps lock off. So frustrating.
Sometimes our mind plays tricks on us with passwords, especially if we have different ones for different things. I tried 3 times today and then realised I had been trying my previous password.
Go and make a cup of cocoa, read a book for a few minutes to take yur mind off it and then try again- the password may suddenly come back to you as you type

done all of that regrettably!!! I will have to take it to the doctor tomorrow if I can't get it sorted.
Is there any chance you've picked up the wrong machine at some point in the day?

no laptop been at home all day with the dogs - can't see them logging on!!!!
