Uuurgh im so mad! I have 100% feedback....looks like it will be less now. Its in a dispute with paypal.

I sold a £70 dress for £24! worn once cos zip didnt work when on. Zip worked fine when off so assuming its a little small....Buyer is saying length has been altered which it hasnt! And one embellishment was loose but not missing which i told her via email. Is it just me???????

No tinkerbell, it's not just you. I am now the proud owner of a 99.2% feedback score because of a less than truthful and straightforward buyer.
Please don't pin your hopes on ebay resolution centre getting behind you. Their default position is that the buyer rules.
Good luck.
Really ? They must have had something against me then.
Who started the Paypal dispute?

Thanks douglas...she wants a half refund and im refusing..bloody 70quid dress she wants it for 13quid when it states my height, the zip status and the embellishments. Im flippin raging!! So mad! My paypal acc has been put on hold so i now hav no item and no money. Urgh. Its as clear as the nose on your face if you ask me!!!

I emailed ebay. And paypal...i couldnt get a dispute started i was in and out of drop down menus for ages...the buyer started and i have replied.

I think the description is clear! The 13 is even less than my starting price. Im sticking to my guns here x
If she's gone for SNAD I don't think she's got a leg to stand on! The dress was as described!

Really im not dishonest, i showed a pic of the hole, said my height and compared length and about the zip. It didnt work when on me,..but on hanger zips fine! (weird) im so mad. Even if i win ...i take it negative feedback can still be left? I was going to refund to save my feedback but i just thot NO actually. Bloody at it!!.....if i see someone with 99% it dosent put me off so ill take my chances. X
It is hopeless trying to change a negative. I sold a small toy football rattle for 99p. The person left me a negative saying it broke when they used it. I sent a message saying why didnt you tell me as I would have refunded your money. No reply. I then contacted ebay but they would not do anything - just advised that I could put an answer to it, which I did. People are impossible. What did I do wrong?
tinkerbell - is there an alternative route you can follow? Ask buyer to return goods and you give refund - got to better than your lose your rating - know you are right with description etc but look at the larger picture. Take a deep breath and decide.

People need to get a flippin life grasscarp dont they!!? .....im annoyed but whatever i know im right. You done nothing wrong. And when i am buying i personally dont check folks feedback so im sure ill live when she leaves me neg x
Good luck Tinkerbell, I've been following the saga of the sale of an expensive pair of shoes on another forum, the buyer claimed he never received them so started a dispute with paypay, despite the fact that the seller had proof from UPS that they were delivered and worse of all the buyer was found to be selling them on another forum using the original sellers own photos plus a photo of himself wearing them, Paypal still sided with the buyer and took the money back from the seller.
Terrible IMO.
You don't need to have done something wrong. A 100% feedback is a source of pride but merely shows you've been lucky so far. At any time it could be lost, but most buyers will have the sense to know that a few disagreements do not a con artist make. Sometimes, especially in business, you have to shrug, get it into perspective, and carry on. Even if you got the 100% level back somehow, it would be vulnerable to the next trade that went wrong. Seems to me you have a decent case tinkerbell, you may even find if you win the dispute, that the buyer doesn't leave feedback, but if they do, then they do.
sounds to me like she just wants some money back, but she obviously likes the dress.
i would call her bluff and say - you know what? You're not 100% happy so return it for a full refund. Then resell it and keep your 100% feedback.
You could be really sneaky and buy something fromher and then leave a negative, but I'm not saying you should. Just an option!

Haha cris! At the moment im not accepting a return, it just costs me to resell and hassel posting. Stubborn yes. Willing to drop to 99% feedback...yes! Even if i win she will leav neg feedback, as will i. She has 100% too. Im glad you all agree it was clear, i was beginning to doubt myself!! Im sticking to my guns. And thanks for the opinions! Even if i refunded her id get neg feedbak so stuff it! X
I can see a problem in your listing though, although you said you wore it the title says it's new without tags, eBay are probably going to side with the buyer even though the text makes it clear that it isn't new :-(
tinker - but your paypal account being on hold is no problem? There are A$rholes out there - don't let it stress you - she is only the same as a pickpocket - let it go - guess this is your first dispute?
Question Author
Hey fitzer its new with defects and i stated worn once- as in for two hours as zip ddnt work but i had no choice...went to mass then changed!

Its my first dispute with something ive sold yeah, i hate to be made to feel dishonest like that :(
Tinks, if I were you I would say to her that you will refund in full if she sends the dress back to you - that's always been my policy. Sadly there are people out there who will try to get something for nothing.
I'm sorry others feel that the eBay resolution centre doesn't help - I have found that they have been helpful.

If she leaves negative feedback then you do have the opportunity to leave a few words (only a few) in response - something like "item sold as per accurate description" or similar, but you can't leave negative feedback for buyers any longer.

By the way - I do agree with others, BNWT is not the same as "once worn" - but that's not the point here.
Sellers can't leave negative feedback for buyers anymore?
Are you a business seller?
Question Author
