Uuurgh im so mad! I have 100% feedback....looks like it will be less now. Its in a dispute with paypal.

I sold a £70 dress for £24! worn once cos zip didnt work when on. Zip worked fine when off so assuming its a little small....Buyer is saying length has been altered which it hasnt! And one embellishment was loose but not missing which i told her via email. Is it just me???????

Yep HC - buyers can leave full feedback for sellers, rating against description etc., but it's been several months since the process changed so that all we can leave now is "positive" and a few words of description, or leave no feedback at all. I'm an ordinary seller, nothing fancy.

Oh. You described it as a new maxi, with defects.
You did give your height but added 'in very high heels'.

But it isn't new, you wore it for two hours. Unless you stated the length of the dress it probably isn't a maxi on your buyer.

When selling clothes you should give as much information as possible in respect of size. Just stating the label size is not enough, your buyer doesn't have the opportunity to try it on.

Yes I agree - I've learned to list back length from back of neckline to hem, and usually width across underarms as well, and actual waist measurement if relevant.

tinker as boxtops says just ask her to return it - don't give discount - I have had it happen to me before - but that is part of ebay

I can remember years ago before many people knew of Ebay and You could actualy bid on things and actualy win them for cheap prices.Now there is too many people after the same item that you will find that people will bid more and more and forget that you can buy it new in the shop for less than what the top bid ends up at. ebay is just getting a joke with all the blocks and account's cancled. Most of the time it's the victim who looses and the robber that wins. I won a car on ebay many years ago for £50quid with MOT and tax,It was a few years old but ran well and no problems. You cant win a written off car on ebay for £50quid anymore never mind one that runs!Mobile phones used to sell for 1p now their as much seccond hand as new in shops.

Ravid, sorry that you seem to have had a bad experience - I buy and sell on eBay all the time, I certainly don't find that people bid more than any item's worth. If I want a decent amount for say a label item of clothing, I start the auction at the minimum value I want - certainly much less than you'd pay new for it. Often I sell to people overseas who don't get those labels or types of items easily in their own countries.

I got a brand new nokia phone about a year ago,It was 60quid from the o2 shop pay as you go.A year later the same exact phone for sale second hand with bidders and 2days left and its at 70quid!

D97x7 ///I've been following the saga of the sale of an expensive pair of shoes on another forum, the buyer claimed he never received them so started a dispute with paypay, despite the fact that the seller had proof from UPS that they were delivered and worse of all the buyer was found to be selling them on another forum using the original sellers own photos plus a photo of himself wearing them, Paypal still sided with the buyer and took the money back from the seller. //

This incident should be reported to the police as it is a clear case of fraud by the buyer. By ignoring the evidence, Paypal is also an accessory to the crime.

Paypal sucks.
