water meter key

i have a water meter but no key to turn the water off. I used my neighbours key, it is a plastic tee shaped key and seems to be about 10mm hexagon. Thames Water do not supply replacement keys.

That is for a water meter valve ...
You can use a socket on an extention bar. They are easy to turn as the assembly is plastic.
You should be able to get a replacement key from the link above im pretty sure they do something very similar to what you are mentioning. Media URL: http://www.fastkeys.co.uk/
