what colour???

I want to decorate my kitchen, it currently has cream walls, beach units and black worksurfaces, I want to get black floor tiles, but need a change of colour on the walls, I just cant think of one that I like!!! Any suggestions welcome! Tia

How big is the room and how much natural light do you have coming in?
If it is a very light and airy room then you can get away with a much stronger and darker colour than you would in a small dark room.

Hello Daffy, its approx 3 metres by 4 metres, its quite light as well.

I have beach floor, black work tops and light beach units. I have grey tiles between the work tops and units. The walls were pale lemon, but now i have changed to duck egg green/blue by B and Q. Its looks lovely xx

I would agree with the pale yellow or the duck egg blue ... are you sure about black floors though? My son has soft darkish brown large floor tiles and they look gorgeous with duck egg blue walls.

I would suggest a Regency Red, which would look very classy with the black. You could combine with shots of Navy and/or gold.

I'd go for a warm brick red colour, particularly if you eat in the kitchen. Reds supposed to feel good in eating environments and apparently green is not so good where foods about

I got black floor tiles and they show the dirt and dust so easily, so go ahead only if you vacuum regularly! I went for slate grey walls and it looks lush.
