I have managed to grow a cucumber on my kitchen windowsill and it's now 35" tall, with one cucumber of 5" and several others growing. It's a case of one of us having to move out of the kitchen - the cucumber or me. Will I kill it if I now plant it in the garden?

What variety is it? Is it one of the little patio cucumbers? Why not leave it in the pot and still move it into the garden?
You can't beat the smell and taste of a fresh home grown cucumber..............lovely.

Thanks for the info. The cucumber doesn't have a fancy name, it just says it's an F1 female.

I'll stand it outside in its pot and cross my fingers!

One word of warning.... My gardener (and OH)has just had two of her patio cucumbers noshed by a big brown slug, the language was not pretty, the vengeance awful, and she still has the look of murder in her eyes, when anything crawls into sight. Make sure you keep them away from your pot. Otherwise I can send her round.........
