We are looking for a new king size mattress and we both suffer from lower back pain. We have been advised to buy a memory foam type mattress - any comments please ?
Thanks paul & Christine

i agree with the above - buy the best you can - they ARE worth it, mine is the most comfy thing ever - i have a sprung matteress with integral memory foam - for a ks it costnearly 700 quid
I bought a memory foam mattress topper from ebay for about 70.. best buy ever!
we had a topper pad... great for one of us but made a bad back worse for the other one, so that's not much help. Have you considered having a water bed? Best bed I ever had but it used to spring leaks once in a while - just pinpricks, not fountains, but took a while to mop up and in the end I had to get rid of it, with great reluctance. I don't know why it leaked, or whether others do. But as far as I'm concerned it was otherwise the perfect bed.
