Why are most lawnmowers now rotary, when it is a well known fact that cylindrical lawn mowers do a better job.

This is probably because rotary mowers use less moving parts are cheaper to manufacture and dont need as much maintenance as a cylinder mower. Thus they have become a more popular solution to what is sometimes regarded as a domestic chore
