Evalute a troubleshooting event.

Think about the most difficult troubleshooting problem you've encountered in your recent exprience-one where the solution was not straightforward and where the problem was not a simple request for information.

The problem you pick might be one you exprienced personally as IT help desk or one you encountered while helping a friend. Write a description of the troubleshooting event by answering the following questions:

1. What troubleshooting tools, methods, and strategies did you use?

2. What subsystems were involved in the problem?

3. What were the communications tools, information resources, and problem analysis tools used?

4. were the troubleshooting methods you used effective?

5. How could you have improved the effectiveness of your troubleshooting strtegy?

I am tempted to write a sarcastic response to this question, as my first impressions are that you are seeking to get other people to write the responses to a test that you've been set to test your abilities.

But perhaps I am a bad, cynical person and you have a real need. Could you contextualise this a bit?
My response to ak23uk2007 is simply that I did not spend several years training as a Computer Systems Analyst and the time since then gaining experience and expertise to have it posted on an open webpage. My clients value such experience ( and confidentiality ) and reimberse accordingly. If ak23uk2007 wishes to commercially use my services then that could be a different matter.
Sounds like a job interview type question(s) to me.
Or even a previous year's exam question !!!
