How horrid! You need to know where they are coming from - how they are getting in.

This is going to mean following the trail (the hopefully easy way), but you will probably have to sit up into the early hours with a torch.

Once you know where they are getting in, you will be able to see the solution!
Interesting question, as marle has said, you need to know where they are coming in, but i'd like to know why, Slugs have a excellent sense of smell, so somethings attracting them, they are good climbers, and if they are not climbing, it has to be the floor, something in the tiles that perhaps tittilates their nostrils?. Anyway, be that as it may, once you've found their access point, yo can block it humanely with some copper, or be their executioner with a barrier of salt.
Your not alone (in more ways than on)!! We had the same problem!! We woke in the morning and there was several trails on the carpet in the lounge. They were then found in the bathroom and the odd one or two in the bedroom(which I really freaked out about). Not plesant at all!!! We followed the trail and put some slug pelets in any holes we found, then blocked any gaps or holes in the skirting etc with plastic bags. We just caught all the ones we found and (touch wood) we havent had the slimmy visitors for several months now. Its a nightmare though as some of them are tiny and can get through the smallest spaces!! Goodluck!!
Is there a gap beneath your doors ? The blighters can also come up thrugh cracks/holes in floorbards by geting in through any air bricks in the building - dont seal up the air bricks by the way.
Check where your air vents are. We found them coming through the outside air vents and up through gaps in the skirting!
