Bosch do a very good 12v cordless hammer drill that's almost up to professional standards. I've seen it in a twin pack with their equally good cordless screwdriver priced around 90. (Any cheaper and you're looking at so-called "value-brands" like P***** D****** that only last five minutes.) David
Makita make very good cordless drills with hammer action try getting 12volt model but 9.6volt is good too. Go to a bulders merchant or professional tool shop (not BBQ or Hardware House) they will oftern have very good specials if the rep has been reciently. Negotiate a spair battery and then offer cash will get the price down. Just ring arround you will be suprised the price difference
