ive put a set of christmas rope lights to decorate the outside of my house but i am having trouble putting them up. firstly they didn't come with any sort of clips, what are the best sort to put them up onto brickwork and upvc window frames etc. secondly, they are all coiled up from being in the packaging and no matter how hard i pull them straight they spring back into a coil so its hard to run them in a straight line, any tips?

Make sure these lights are suitable for outdoor use otherwise apart from the electric shock risk you could put all your lights out when it rains/snows. You can use ordinary electrical cable clips with a hardened nail for supporting the cable in brick. Don't hammer them right in if you want to take them down later.
