This person had a shed that was 16 years old, she is a friend of my Daughter & money is an Issue, her shed was in a right state due to the base bearers, and the Felt on the roof being ripped a few years back and causing the Chip Board to Blow, it looked a sorry full state, I could see there was a repair here & advised her so, she asked me to carry on, it was a 8x6 to buy new in the region of £400, just finished the repair & rebuild today, just needs new Chip Boards & Felt, then a paint job, so think about what avenue before you decide to Scrap your shed& save yourself some money, this job in total will cost her about £160 including Screws / & bits.

TWR, can you move in next door to me please?
I'm 100% with you on the repair/recycle TWR. We seem to live in a throw away society when all some things need is a little TLC.

I don't like to see money wasted Tilly, the job was worth the effort. xx
but did you charge her for the repairs? and would the new shed have come with free assembly?
Question Author
Maggie, the person that put it down at that time b put it too close to the ground, this caused damp getting into the wood. & the felt, well that was a very silly error by the owner.

The Costs are far less than a new 8x6 Woof.
While we are at it, that reminds me. One of you out there may be able to shed some light ( pun intended, sorry) next door neighbour spent Sunday dismantling his tiny shed - so small it would scarcely have made a sentry box) and then all of Tuesday putting it back together again. It looked alright before he started dismantling, but quite sorry for itself after he put it back together. Any ideas what was going on ?
Sorry, can't shed any light upon that situation.
Maybe he's a fan of James May: The Reassembler Atlanta?
