Caterpillars Muscles - Amazing!

I needed to know about caterpillar's vision and I just checked and they have 12 eyes, but that's not all folks, they have 4,000 muscles! while we have only 627.
No question, I just thought I'd pass that on. :0)

To do with the depiction of a caterpillar in an artwork,- a bestiary. Some caterpillars have large mock eye markings on their heads - to scare off predators.
But bye the bye, they are among the most fascinating creatures on God's earth; by metamorphosis they change from one creature into a completely different one, there is no physical connection between a caterpillar and a butterfly but it has a memory of its former life.

16 months later than posted, I finally clicked on Baldric's cartoon. very good!
I've seen enough caterpillars this week to last me for a while, we have had to have all out box trees and hedges removed because they have been devastated by the box moth, a full builder's skip full - millions upon millions of caterpillars went with them.
