Didn't know where to put this so opted for chatter.

I just bought one of those GTech Air Ram vacuum cleaners. I charged it and used it for the first time.

It picks up great but is sooo noisy. Does anyone have only of these?

I really need to know if it's just a noisy machine or if there is something wrong with it and to return it.

mine is noisy too. I don’t think its any noisier than my dyson but the noise is higher pitched and more piercing.
Mine's ok...I don't really notice the noise anymore.

Maybe I should just get it changed and so if the new one is the same.

Didn't really want to as its gonna be hassle taking it back to Argos, I had it delivered as I didn't want the hassle of going there.
Mine's very noisy too - a high pitched 'scream' (for want of a better word).

I emailed Gtech about it and they said it's how it should be.

I can put up with the noise, it's not that bad, but I was just worrying there might be something wrong with it.
My first one was bad but my second one (replacement) was worse. That's why I emailed to ask if it was okay. It works fine but it doesn't half make a racket.
It's a bit like a jet engine. I can put up with it if it means I can pick the machine up with one hand...OR even just 2 fingers...;-)
I agree with Pasta. The positives far outweigh the negatives.

Had to send the first one back as it just stopped working one day. Argos exchanged it for me, no quibble, even though I'd had it for a year.
Our cat wouldn't put up with that.
It is a bit noisy.
