Does anyone have one?

I have a small bathroom and understand that they make the room look bigger. I also think they look nice and neat (I guess it's down to personal taste) but I wonder what the weight restrictions are....would hate to sit on it and break it off the wall. :o)

Any thoughts please? Thanks peeps. x

MrsC...re the cistern.....I did ask when I was deciding and they were once quite difficult to access for repair....mine just has to be pressed at the sides somehow....the chap showed me....and it comes off easily....x
Depends on the strength of your walls but looks like the limit is about 400kgs http://www.victorianplumbing.co.uk/news/what-is-a-back-to-wall-toilet.aspx

I know we could redo the bathroom sealant but the whole bathroom suite needs replacing, I reckon it's more than 30 years old and showing a lot of wear and tear. The previous owner fitted a shower shortly before we moved in, but the bath is the wrong shape and water runs down the side of the bath and soaks the floor. We intended to redo the bathroom when we moved here around 5 years ago, but haven't got round to it yet.
It seems that all modern cisterns have similar flush mechanisms inside - and these eventually need bits replacing ... which is fiddly enough when you can get at the cistern, but much more difficult when the cistern is concealed.

Even changing/tightening the seat on some 'back to wall' pans is a major effort.
go for it, you know you deserve a nice new toilet, :)
Mrs C I've read through this and innuendo and smut has never been far from my sniggering childish middle aged mind... thank you.

Seriously. we have a wall mounted thing in the small loo. it can cope with my ever burgeoning waistline, you'll be fine as long as the fitters are competent.
As your OH thinks, the frames are £105 to over £200 then there is the cost of the actual Loo as well.
Chaps wouldn't necessarily miss a wall mounted unit. Otherwise places like this would be awash.

sandy, I knew you would have a red toilet in your house. !!
Jeez Sandy.... ive been struggling enough to be serious here.... when jobbies was mentioned......
Well...you've flushed out the naughty boys now, MrsC....☺
I try to have things coordinated in my modest abode. I like to think the urinal matches the sofas. Just a minor touch but I think things like that say something about the householder. ☺

Sorry Anne, didn't notice your comment up there....a jobby is the result of the job you do on the loo (don't bear thinking about too much).

Dave's got me thinking about the potential problems. What a bu88er. Slapshot, have you had yours for long? I'm guessing they are quite a new thing as I only discovered them (or noticed them I suppose) within the last few days.

Thanks for the link, 237. That's one heck of a weight!

The urinal matches the sofa?? Hope you never stagger drunk and desperate for a pee into your front room sandy !
Sorry about the digression, Mrs C. I see now this is a serious thread.
I think they have been around for ages mrs c. , sandy I lurv your wee pad, (such taste )
MrsC.....have one you love.....nothing will be unfixable if it's needed....I'm really happy with the look of my back to the wall loo.....x
fairly recent Mrs C, undergoing some major renovations seems ok
