Yes, First Earlies, Sarpo Mira.
Should have added that I live on the South Coast so can get potatoes in earlier. Aim to plant out in 3rd-4th week of February.

I'm going for rocket again & I'm going to try international kidney (Jersey Royals) this year. I tried Sharpo Mira & found them inedible, aren't they a main crop spud?
Had a good crop with Sharpo Mira last year, always used them as a First Early with good success rate. Interested in comments about 'Rocket', might plant a dozen tubers to try them out.
I don't know what they are, but there are some growing in my vegetable rack :-)
Started mine last week ... Charlotte as my 1st earlies and Sarpo Mira as my maincrop.
If you are using Sarpo Mira as your 1st earlies then no wonder they are inedible. They need about another 10 weeks in the ground.
Only last week ( 3rd week in January) I dug up my remaining maincrop of Sarpo Mira. A few had slug holes in them, apart from that they are perfect after 7 months in the ground !
I have never chitted my spuds ijust put them in ground and they allways do fine
I'm chitting the good old Arron Pilot. I've tried other varieties but always come back to this one, now I'm sticking with it.
Whether its necessary or not, I like to chit potatoes as its a sign of spring coming. I'll be buying mine this weekend and usual go for Charlotte and Rocket. Both delicious and reliable.
