I was a Frankie Laine fan from the age of 14, I went to see him at the London Palladium as an hysterical teenage fan, the lady sitting next to me gave me her opera glasses and told me "take a good look at him because he is old enough to be your father " !Then years later I discovered that a group of his fans [ now OAPs] used to go over to the US every year for a get together with the man himself , I was eager to go too but in the meantime he died.
