I have made myself chicken sweetcorn soup for my lunch which I loosely based on Ainsley's recipe.
I had one bowl and thought its good but not up to my usual standard, then I though I better finish it then I can wash the saucepan and as I had the last mouthful I realise I had forgotten to add the sweetcorn, no wonder it did not taste right ! silly moo.

yes but I had put the lemon juice in which made it taste odd !

I was given some rhubarb a few years ago and put it on the stove and forgot about it. I started to smell smoke and wondered which inconsiderate neighbour is having a bonfire while my washing is out. Of course it turned out to be a pan of rhubarb boiled dry and a ruined saucepan. Doh!
