Hi again,
work is never ending. front door was fitted by a twit, needed more draught excluder than a collander, and when you came home in the dark, if the hall light was on it lit up the pathway through the gaps in the door frame. anyway, can i paint a plastic door? its white, gone off colour a bit, i doubt if it could be replaced without replacing the frame? or could it? so painting seems to be the option, do not want half the house wrecked with removing frames and so on.
thanks all,
annie.

A good clean, Annie, then a coat of a plastics primer such as this ..............

Undercoat and finish in any way you like. My own is finished in Farrow & Ball ......... very tasteful ;o)

I guess you have a uPVC door AND frame, fitted as a unit?
If so, then it should be adjustable. Probably not by a twit though :o)
I'd second using Zinzeer as TB says. Farrow & Ball! You'll be drinking Pimms on the croquet lawn next, TB :-)
Ha .......... Crusty, did I ever tell you about the time I went to a wedding at Downton Abbey? (Highclere Castle).
Waiters with radios ........... "More Pimms to the croquet lawn please"

Cool ........ not many builders there though ;o(
PVC doors never need painting ...didn't you know that? As if :-)

Well, thats the best news this week, thank you builder, again.
farrow and ball??? i just get their colour and get B&Q to match it, then tell the neighbours that its farrows. just like shopping in aldi and telling everone you've been to Budgens.
Thanks again, work will commence.
The Builder: //If so, then it should be adjustable. Probably not by a twit though//

why do I find that very funny? ☺

Builder, there is a gap at the top, and it is not level from frame to door top. light and wind come throuigh, this is same for back door. drastic action required, as no amount of draught excluder tape has any real effect. it appears the door is somewhat smaller than required to fit the frame, but i have seen this in lots DIY bodge ups, nothing fits. any cheap remedies, or is it new frame and door
( would prefer wood anyway)
Annie.
