you don't know who insures your car?

did you not get any policies - can you look on your bank statement and see who the payments go to?
Is it insured? Check here: http://ownvehicle.askmid.com/askmid.aspx
That only tells you if you are insured not who you are insured with.
how would anyone here know who YOU paid YOUR money to for car insurance?
Did you arrange the insurance on-line? If so you should have the confirmation email. Next step is to contact your bank.

Was a report really justified? Perhaps someone should report you for having too high an opinion of yourself?

I am a driver thank you.

I am not going to indulge in a battle of wits with you, Amber. It wouldn't be fair on you.
Thank goodness sense prevailed here and the post was not removed.
Even so it is a dodgy looking question. To ask, how can one can find out who they are insured with, is fair enough, but to post a reg when no one knows if it is the OP's doesn't make for easy feelings about it.

The DVLC should know ought they not ? Could try asking there.
Shes at it again....
Right

Do you have a certificate of insurance? that'll tell you
when did you insure it?
How did you pay? if it's a bank direct debit, it'll show on your bank statement, if you paid by cheque, your bank still have the details if you no longer have the cheque stub - ditto if you paid by debit or credit card.

Are you the insured person?
I bet that is not his car, and I bet he just wanted to find out if it was insured mmmmm
in the same vain

what colour socks am i currently wearing?
/putting someones reg on line is not on in my book /

amber

what harm or criminality do you imagine can take place because a car reg has been entered in a post?
A perfectly innocent question posted by someone who, in all likelihood, is not overly acquainted with the internet.

Frugalfred... Very useful link. I've had car insurance issues over the festive period and found your link helpful and reassuring. Thanks.
PP... Did you do a site search? :-)
Phone your bank, give them your renewal date. They will tell you if you paid a significant amount of money out around that date. If they don't know who you paid it to, they can give you an originators code/ID. http://www.mib.org.uk/Motor+Insurance+Database/en/default.htm will help from there.
