monochrome.....

since the children have left home, I have now have a library....

a wall has top to bottom shelves. The carpet is a plain rusty /brick colour

which I do not wish to change. I would like to paper the other walls with a

I'd go for a plain white. The colours of the books' spines will provide plenty of additional interest.
I think I would go with a cream or antique white colour. White can be a little too stark sometimes, whilst a cream or off white colour has a little more warmth.
