Geraniums

Should I always deadhead geraniums, please. The cranesbill type - Geranium Brookside, similar to Johnson's Blue. Thanks.

I usually cut the flowerstem right down not just the dead heads and they sometimes flower again (has to be the right kind of Summer though) :(
I do Moggypaws otherwise they get straggly .They are hardy .I don't bother to fiddle about deadheading .I just go over them with the hand shears now and then . They soon bounce back and flower even more profusely ..I have both the blue and a pink one .
