Help! My cat has fleas

She has been washing herself like mad, but I've just SEEN THE FLEAS on my sofa. Will get something tomorrow for the cat, but other than hoovering, how can I clean them off the furniture?

Pretty sure you can get some sort of foul smelling spray for the furniture.
Its the carpet you need to worry about, call in Pest Control and get the place treated professionally, its usually cheaper in the long run.
Get RIP spray or Indorex from vets-NOT any stuff from pet shops...the sooner the better....spray the whole house....and hoover, hoover, hoover.
Oh....as for cat-Frontline, Advantage,Advocate...again-no pet shop rubbish.
remember to empty your hoover out after vaccuming, may be full of fleas.
I've tried various products from supermarkets and pet shops, generally with little success. However if you can find a shop which sells equine supplies (and similar) the flea sprays sold there (which are designed for use in stables as well as homes) seem to work really well.
Tell them they are going for a run and you will start them off .One two Flea go
