Growing tomatoes

We are growing cherry tomatoes for the first time this year. We have lots of lovely green ones at the moment but not sure when to pick them. Do we pick them now while they are green, if so where do we put them? or do we wait until they go red on the plant?
Thanks

Hi, I wait until mine are ripe and use them within a few days. They taste and smell great! I think they will ripen a bit more on a windowsill or similar if they are not quite ready when picked.
I pick my Toms when they reach the size I want, whether they're red or green, put them in a clear plastic bowl in the light, the grren ones soon go red.
