I'd leave it now, let the Frost get at it, Thats what I do, others may differ.
agree with Lonnie, we dig over now on our allotment, chuck a load of manure over the top & leave it to nature till the spring.
Now's the time to plant garlic especially but they're right if you've just dug it it's best to leave it over winter.

But when you first get stuck in there's a natural impatience - Why don't you plant a small row of garlic to see how it goes if it does well fine, if not there's no great loss
Broad beans are stronger (less black fly) if planted now. Check for overwintering varieties.
I believe Acquadulce broad beans are the only over-wintering variety but you should get them in pretty quick.
get yourself a seed catalogue....It will tell you when to set everything...... And the BEST gardening book is Dr.D.G.Hessayon,s"The new vegetable and herb expert (5.99 but cheaper at Amazon) It,s ideal for both learners and pros!
