Loganberry... expert advice please..........

I bought a loganberry cane in May and put it in a huge square container about 3 feet square and about the same deep. It has now grown so tall but hasn't flowered yet. Do I have to nip the top out or is that where the flowers come from? I thought it may encourage it to branch outwards as there is only one stem at the moment. Can I expect any loganberries this year?

Ta Boxie that is a good informative website, looks as if I'm doing everything right then ......... just have to be patient and wait for fruit this time next year!

I've come back from holiday and I am amazed, it has gone like Jack and the Beanstalk, it must be now at least 7 feet tall, surely they don't usually grow this tall? Its past the end of the tallest bamboo stake! Growing upwards to heaven .............:)
