mauve flower

I received a bouquet of flowers and it contained a wild type flower,mauve/purple colour,it has now started to sprout tiny white flowers in the purple,has anyone
any idea what flower it is please,

Looks like a dried flower that`s why I thought it was a wild flower,small about 2 inches tall and a tight cluster,bit like a miniature lilac flower.
