Infested Fruit Tree

I have a cherry fruit tree which is infested at the growing tips with what appears to be black-fly (trees first full season) What I find puzzling is why bees and bluebottles would be so interested in this. Perhaps, bluebottles, but bees??

Thanks for that. -I am surprised that bees could be seduced by that! I always thought of them as hard working & focused on collecting pollen and nothing else....
