We have this bush in the garden .When it comes into bloom it looks glorious and it's just starting now .However I have no idea what it is . It was here when we moved in nearly nine years ago .
Any offers ?

Woofy did you see portillo on Breakfast I think it was! He had a pixellated jacket and was most confusing on TV!
no Neti I didn’t see the pixilating Portillo. Its been like an episode of the Blue Lamp here today. fog so thick you could make sandwiches with it.

Haha ..he was wearing a green shirt and orange trousers today in America He looked like Ronald McDonald.
My old school friend met him a while back at the Mall galleries in London at an exhibition she was showing at.She's a member of the Limners Society and he presented her with a prize for a miniature she had painted. He was wearing a normal suit though.
She said he was really charming and very nice to chat to.I think he's the chairman of some art thingy.
Freezing cold here tonight and foggy.I've just been slumping in front of the tv and now I'm going to slump orf to bed.Night all.
Morning...is there anybody out there? Yet another foggy one, it was so thick last night.
I watched the Royal Recipes repeat this morning. I usually look at the news but the only channel I could get was BBC2. I rather liked chef Paul Ainsworth, calm and a very listenable voice I thought. Maybe I was still half asleep. Did you notice the dessert was on a knobbly glass plate. I am poshe after all.

I didn't eat much yesterday because of the headache and today I'm full of wind. Just thought I'd share that :) Do those windeze (sp?) tablets work?
thick fog here too. It drove me a bit mad that the chef kept saying “lovely”.
I find peppermint works better than windeze, I keep peppermint tea on hand and make a strong cup (3 bags) Drink it as hot as you can.
Morning, lots done today! Had haircut, wasn't too pleased, only the Chinese seem to be able to cut my spiky look and they are closed, hopefully not forever! Anyway I rewashed hair and fiddled and it's ok ish now!
Lovely sunny weather although very cold! Managed to measure my bedding and other things! Hopefully it'll be sunnynagaiin mañana and I can wash Mr Ns bed and bathroom stuff!
I wanted to see the Brighton pavilion yesterday on Royal recipes as I used to have a flat right opposite and wanted to see how it had changed if at all, but sister kept me on phone!!
So glad doctors is back but why is foster son being mardy? What have I missed?
I skated over a thin layer of ice on the drive to put the bins out this morning. We had about an hour at 12ish when the fog started to lift and now its back again thicker than ever. I was going out today to pay my paper bill but that can wait.
oh an still growing my hair...I am getting quite good at trimming the fringe neatly (ish)
Woofy are you aiming for flowing locks?
I don't watch Doctors every day but I think the boy's mother is going to take a longer time in recovery after a stroke.

I'm always trimming my fringe, I like it choppy rather than blunt. When my hairdresser does it she has strict instructions not to cut it too short.
I'll get some peppermint tea when I go out, our co op isn't very exciting but they have quite a few herbal teas. Tarquin told me to try it ages ago but I'd forgotten.

It cleared and brightened up but it's bitterly cold, it goes right through your libby
Going through my posts, i did not measure my bedding, I washed it!!

Evening all
I think it's getting towards evening .Been a nice day again ,bright and sunny after the fog and frost cleared but sooo cold.
I quite like this weather though. It's calm and still in spite of the cold and better than gales of wind, storms and rain .
Nothing doing here.I dare not cut my fringe with my fumbly fingers I'd end up looking like a raggedy Barbie doll. There was a prog on last night about hair .Horizon I think .Haven't watched it yet but it looks interesting .
Just watched the royal recipes .The chef today annoyed me too.Every other word was "absolutely".
I'm looking forward to Back in time for Dinner tonight with the Robshaws.
I think they're going forward from Edwardian times.

Neti, it was a whim. I missed two consecutive haircuts in the summer and it started to grow. There were various reasons why i couldn’t be sure I would get out to the hairdressers so i didn’t make another appointment and it kept growing so I decided to grow it one last time until all the layers are out....after that who knows?
I do my fringe with pinking shears to avoid the pudding basin look.

Went to a Do this evening in a terrific venue, right on the Thames, on the 12th floor looking out over the river at the city lights. The fog had all gone and you could see clearly all the way to Canary Wharf - about 4 miles but usually hazy. They had open air balconies and somehow it wasn't cold outside (it's actually not too chilly this evening) so I tucked into the free drinks... one tequila, two tequilas, three tequilas, floor...

Now going through the goody bag - two posh notebooks, half a dozen unposh ballpoint pens, two nail files and a Harry Potter keyring.
oh, and there's a big lollipop as well. On the back it says May have an adverse effect on activity and attention on children. Never mind, it's big enough to spank them with if they play up.
Good morning folks!
Jno that sounds like my sort of night out! Did you sing anywhere along the line?
How is everyone? Hope you all slept well.
Anyone watch Apple tree yard? I caught up with it last night. Quite enjoyed it.
Very chilly here, have put Mr N's bedding in the wash, hope it doesnt rain now.
bah, now the fog's come down again. I wouldn't mind if I wasn't supposed to be heading for the Caribbean this time tomorrow. I demand a clear runway!
Jet-set jno! You've taken over from our gallivanting jude! It's lovely and sunny here, all washing dry and put away if no ironing needed! There is a big pile of that!
I didn't wear a jacket this am I wore a cardi and it was fine but my legs got chilly!
Have a good trip jno!

Afternoon all
Very dreary here ,cold and the fog hasn't really cleared.
Are you off to sunny climes Jno ? Have a good trip.

Yes I watched Apple Tree Yard, Neti .It's based on a book of the same name. It was very racy but I didn't expect that to happen to her at the end.I wonder how it'll pan out .I think he'll be a stalker ,the one who attacked her.
I'm waiting for Sainsburys to bring my shopping then I'm going to make lentil, sweet potato and bacon soup.Need something to keep the cold out.
